이야기를 통해 기호화된 인물에 대한 고찰

A Study on Characters Symbolized through Stories

초록

This article examines the understanding of the subject and the signification of the subject while structurally analyzing a part of Kim Hoon's essay “Horse Running in the Wilderness”. In this paper, the author writes about his father's life. In the title of this article, ‘horse’ refers to the father as a pioneer. This metaphor for father represents the author's giving meaning to his father. This imposition of meaning continues to enumerate the stories related to the father as a signification. The artist reconstructs her father's events in her own way. In this article, the reality of the father is not revealed. Only images created through the writer's narrative imagination appear in the text. Signification creates signs by combining signifier with signified. As we have seen in the formation of myths, this bonding process requires a story. To talk about the father is to create the father's sign. Rather than revealing the substance of his father in detail, the artist continues to create his father's simulacre, completing his condolences to his deceased father. In this paper, the story sequence was used as a framework for analysis.
