강원 아리랑 유산의 현황과 과제 ― 새로 지정된 시도 무형유산 아리랑의 문화사적 의미를 중심으로 ―
Gangwon Arirang Heritages: Their Status and Cultural-Historical Significance as Newly Designated Intangible Heritages

초록
This study explores the status and cultural significance of the newly designated Arirang intangible heritages in Gangwon Province. Since 2024, Gangwon has recognized six local Arirang songs —Sokcho, Taebaek, Chuncheon, Wonju, Hoengseong, and Pyeongchang—and the Jeongseon Arirang, becoming the only region in Korea preserving seven distinct forms. These songs, once orally transmitted, serve as official expressions of local identity. This study highlights their roles in reconstructing community identity, restoring collective memory, and transforming Arirang into a multi-narrative cultural heritage. Furthermore, it suggests sustainable transmission through singer networks, digital archiving, and educational initiatives.
