남성 퀴어의 성 정체성과 소설적 재현 -김봉곤, 박상영의 소설을 중심으로-
초록
Patriarchy does not recognize any affection, love, or relationship that cannot be explained within the marriage system. Both feminist and queer novels recognize the bonds of numerous humans outside compulsory heterosexuality. This is an overturned system that allows an individual to exist as a subject of accidental and variable life. In our society Bong-Gon Kim and Sang-Young Park are examples of the artist’s minority character, not using other metaphors, but using a direct narrative method. When “novel-reading” is a resistance to the existing society and style of literature, readers interest in the two queer writers stems from this difference. In the novel, identity is reproduced through the voice of the first-person protagonist. However, one should be careful about approaching a novel through the circumstances of the writer’s private life; in the long term, the artist is susceptible to the challenge of running out of materials, and the reader can only satisfy a voyeuristic desire. This brings to mind the limitations of autofiction and identity, which are prominent features in the current queer novel. In order for the queer novel to go beyond the current trend and have lasting influence, it is necessary to deviate from the ‘first person narrator’ setting and then solidify with other minorities.
