The Rape Narrative Study of the Novel Land - Focusing on Trauma

초록

This study examines the rape epic of the novel ‘Land’ based on trauma, and looks at Park’s characteristics as a female epic. In this work, the rape epic extends across the whole spectrum of history, family, and love narratives, and as it is repeated across the board, it forms a watershed in the entire epic geography. The female character’s rape epic focuses on descriptions of the trauma overcoming the pain and healing process, while the male’s rape epic focuses on the expression of guilt and obsession. In the case of violent male characters, it is used to epic the trauma of the offender by presenting psychological crimes as causes of rape or by epic the unconscious obsession after the attack. It is intended not to simplify the malicious nature of humans in the work, and implies that the author has a sense of compassion for life. The rape epic appears to be the main theme of the epic with the expression of victim suffering and guilt. The narrative of the process of covering pain and establishing identity by concentrating on the expression and healing of trauma rather than rape as an event can be said to replace it as an epic property.
