협업 영문 청소년아동 소설 창작:문학 수업에서의 한 학기 프로젝트

This project explores the collaborative creation of an English novel for young adults and children as an innovative approach to creative writing education. In response to the global rise of Korean culture, the initiative seeks to blend cultural storytelling with language acquisition, empowering students to craft compelling narratives with international appeal. Over 15 weeks, students participated in a structured process that included text analysis, ideation, collaborative writing, translation, and editing. Drawing rich inspiration from literary works like River Boy, they incorporated elements of Korean culture into their stories, reimagining traditional narratives for a global audience. The collaborative framework fostered teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking, allowing students to refine their writing through cultural contextualization of their traditions and heritage while developing both their literary and linguistic skills. The project culminated in the publication of the novel Sea Wind, demonstrating the potential of collaborative storytelling to elevate Korean literature on the global stage. This educational model emphasizes the intersection of cultural identity, creativity, and global engagement through literary expression.
