This is designed to explore agents of the production of Gasa in the Types of Nongbuga and establish new ways of interpreting them based on the agents. In fact, existing researches of Gasa in the Types of Nongbuga have strongly been bound with the research of farming history of the late Chosun Dynasty which presented the important arguments of the study of internal development. Interpreting its history was rigidly fixed to the modern-period-centered teleological perspectives. Therefore, this study is to shed new light on the agricultural society of the late Chosun dynasty from the perspective of Moral Economy by criticizing the modern-period-centered teleological perspectives. In the core of the traditional farming life, there is "the cooperation principle for survial" which combines 'the norm of mutual benefits' assuring the poverty line for farmers in the agricultural community with 'the living rights' as a part of moral. This combination is called moral economy. The community of pre-capitalism had been dominated by the principle of Safety First minifying the dangers of the poverty line. Therefore, Farmers came to focus on minifying the dangers rather than maximizing the profits in returns for taking the risk. Also, individual survival was closely related to the communal survivals. The agricultural community of the late Chosun Dynasty was considered to be the society maintained by the moral economy of the cooperation principle for survival based on mutual benefits. Considering the environments of the creation of Gasa in the Types of Nongbuga, it's noticeable that there are two aspects of 'share their joy and mutual benefits' and 'the poverty line and the deliverly of knowledge'. In the lyrics of farmers' songs, the village people held a feast after harvesting, which is considered to be relatively redistributed by the landowning classes as the revelation of mutual benefits for the management and maintenance of the community. Also, contents of agricultural knowledge was showed, which can be seen as the intention of maintaining farmers' poverty line threatened by a decrease in production due to natural disasters and so on by giving information on correct farming methods and time.
