초록

This paper is a work theory that summarizes the symbolism and personal narratives of the hand, focusing on one's photographic work, "Hand" The hand is one of the important body parts for a person. Humanity cultivated civilization by hand using tools. In addition to the spread of smartphones and the development of camera technology, photos that people can easily access are deeply penetrating into people's daily lives. Photography sometimes transcends language to convey information, and plays a major role in recording and conveying people's daily lives more easily. Research linked to a single body part belonging to the body, furthermore, an individual, tends to be buried under a huge discourse. In particular, the part "hand" is often mentioned briefly as part of the entire work. Through the work series "Hand," where my hand appeared, I would like to look into the symbolic elements and characteristics of the photograph. This study examines the textual expression in Han Kang's novel "Your Cold Hand," Kwon Jin-kyu's sculpture of "The Hand" and Karl Jung's unconscious theory, In addition, Merlo Ponti's "flesh" theory and my "Hand" work were analyzed.
