대학 입학 선발 방식에 따른 대학생의 학교 생활 적응 차이 분석 연구

초록

Student admission method is a very important factor influencing upon the students’ adaptation to university life, as well as the competitiveness of universities. The purpose of this study is to verify the differences in students’ adaptation level to university life depending upon diverse admission methods. Utilizing the 'The Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire,' we surveyed college students at a university located in Seoul. Based on the analyses of the data of 183 students, we draw following conclusions. First, in terms of students’ college life adaptation level, there found no differences according to the gender, but statistically significant difference was revealed by the grade level. Second, students’ college life adaptation level showed significant differences according to the college admission methods. Based on the findings, we made a few policy recommendations for a better design of college admission methods aiming at improving students’ adaptation level to college life, thereby to prepare their future more successfully.
