초록

This paper explores the utilization of Argyreia nervosa as a precursor for synthesizing carbon dots (AN-CDs) and their potential utilization as a fluorescent chemical sensor for specific epinephrine detection. The synthesis methodology presents several advantages, including a straightforward, single-step green process, exceptional stability, and an inherent biocompatibility of the resulting carbon dots. The synthesized AN-CDs exhibit a distinctive fluorescence emission maximum at 430 nm in the blue region upon excitation at 340 nm. A linear quenching of fluorescence intensity is observed upon the addition of epinephrine, enabling a straightforward analytical method for epinephrine detection. The probe proves high specificity towards epinephrine, despite the presence of common interfering substances. The practical utility is evidenced by its successful application in detecting epinephrine in pharmaceutical and serum samples, demonstrating its potential for biomedical and environmental monitoring applications.
