최근 출간된 시 전집의 체재 검토와 새로운 시 전집의 상상

This study examined the principles and criteria behind text selection and inclusion after exploring the characteristics and systems of each of four corpus of poems republished in the 2010s― Baek Seok’s Poems to be Read Once Again-The Corpus of Baek Seok’s Poems, The Corpus of Lee Yong-ak’s Poems, The Corpus I of Jeong Ji-yong’s Poems, The Corpus of Midang Seo Jeong-ju’s Poems. Based on this, the study examined what is expected with regard to the matters of text selection and readers’ choice. Although the corpuses of poems from well-known poets were published several times, but indeed they were little difference from simple collections of all the poems from poets. This does not fully satisfy the criterion that the corpus of poems should include confirmed original copies. However, it is encouraging that the corpuses of poems published in the 2010s and examined in this study made various meaningful attempts instead of following conventional practice on the publication of the corpus of poems. As seen in this study, the publication of the corpus of poems should be carried out in combination with research on the confirmation of original copies. For this, the corpuses of poems which include original copies along with copies of different version are needed and criticisms of original copies should be vigorously researched. Furthermore, a dictionary of poetic terms in a new form like Dictionary of Poetic Terms in Baek Seok’s Poems should be made along with the publication of the corpus of poems and research on criticisms of original versions. The features and conditions of research in Korea virtually hinder research on original copies and the publication of the corpus of poems in a right way, but still efforts should be made to carry out suchresearch and publication. Research on Korean modern poems can make a genuine advancement when more researchers imagine and realize new types of corpus of poems which strengthen the foundation for research on Korean modern poems.
