AbstractThe purpose of this study is to derive major topics of the future sports industry by analyzing big data on the original news data that combines sports-science and technology keywords to derive the frequency of news appearances and topic modeling major science and technology combined with the sports industry. This study collected original data that included ‘sports’ or ‘the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and ’all sports registered with the Korean Sports Council’ for 10 years (2013-2023) and used high-tech terms related to ‘science and technology’. Keyword frequency was checked, topics were extracted and visualized through text mining, topic modeling, and social network analysis. As a result of the analysis of keywords for sports-science technology news articles, if science and technology keywords such as ‘VR’, ‘robot’, ‘data’, and ‘game’ were derived with the highest frequency, they were grouped into a total of 19 Topics. Four conclusions were drawn as a result of this study.
