초록

In the Fukushima accident in Japan, the extended loss of electrical power by an earthquake and tsunami led to loss of several safety functions and core damage of multiple units on the site. After the accident, in the nuclear industry, interest in multi-unit risk has increased and various strategies and facilities for beyond design basis external event have been in preparation to provide additional reliability. In Korea, to develop the multi-unit probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) model for regulatory verification, the multi-unit risk research group (MURRG) sponsored by Korean regulatory authority was formed in 2017. As a part of the development of multi-unit PSA model conducted by MURRG, a PSA model including portable equipment is under development for sensitivity analysis. This study provides authors’ experience in reflecting portable equipment to the PSA model of a nuclear power plant. We also present several issues to be considered such as which portable equipment should be reflected in the PSA model, for what purposes the equipment is reflected in consideration of associated accident scenarios, and when the equipment is connected. © 2021 PSA.
