브리콜라주 관점에서 본 문화예술 기반의 도시재생 사례연구 - 암스테르담 NDSM지구를 중심으로 -

초록

This research was conducted for the purpose of analyzing urban regeneration based on cultural arts and to confirm the possibility of applying Bricolage theory which can create cultural, artistic, economic, and social values by utilizing resources in an environment with limited resources. For this, the city (‘NDSM’ in Amsterdam), which is evaluated as a successful overseas case for urban regeneration based on cultural arts, was selected, and the core contents were derived by analyzing the cases through the six bricolage elements of Di Domenico et al.(2010): Making Do, Refusal to be Constrained by Limitations, Improvisation, Social Value Creation, Stakeholder Participation, and Persuasion. As a result of the analysis, the following were identified in each of the stages in the process of urban regeneration: Using local resources(tangible and intangible) and Using creative resources at the ‘Making Do’ stage, Challenging experiments and Setting sustainable strategies at the ‘Refusal to be Constrained by Limitations’ stage, Seeking new opportunities and partnerships and Recycling based on the characteristics of existing resource at the ‘Improvisation’ stage, Respecting cultural diversity, Community participation and interaction, Preservation and restoration of historical and cultural resources at the ‘Social Value Creation’ stage, Providing education and opportunities, cooperation and collaboration, Continuous participation and management at the ‘Stakeholder Participation’ stage, Storytelling, Using exhibitions, festivals and events, and Inducing stakeholder participation at the ‘Persuasion’ stage. Through this, the study aims to present a Bricolage strategic plan that can be used as a complementary and reference material in the field of urban regeneration based on domestic cultural arts. This study is significant in that it introduces the Bricolage theory as a new perspective and a strategic tool to improve the performance of urban regeneration.
