Relationships among the nurse’s humor, job satisfaction, resilience and turnover intention

The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between nurse of humor, job satisfaction, resilience and turnover intention. This study was a descriptive correlation study of 294 nurses working in general hospital in South Korea. Data were collected through structured self-questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS / Win 20.0 program. As a result, there was a statistically significant correlation between humor, job satisfaction, resilience, and turnover intention of nurses. The use of humor in the nursing field may give pleasure to not only nurses themselves but also peers and nurse-client. Based on the results of this study, we expect to be used as basic data for developing programs that can improve humor and resilience, and we expect actively reflected nursing leaders to improve job satisfaction and decrease turnover intention. © Rushing Water Publishers Ltd. 2018.
