초록

Archaelysin is a zinc-dependent protease and is distributed in archaea, bacteria, plants, fungi, and vertebrates. The proteins in the archaelysin family share a conserved motif (HExxHxxGx3Cx4CxMx17CxxC) for binding two zinc ions. The physiological function of archaelysin is still unknown. The thermophilic archaelysins show great potential for application in industry.
