대학생 NCS 직업기초능력 특성 및 유형 탐색

Since enhancing college students’ vocational competency has gained great attention throughout the globe, governments as well as colleges are putting every effort toward its practice. Based on the Korean National Competency Standards, basic vocational competencies for college students has been developed. Thus, this study examines the relationship between the levels of NCS basic vocational competencies and college students’ personal characteristics in order to find the strategies to improve NCS basic vocational competencies for college students. The survey was conducted with college students who enrolled in five universities in Seoul, and total of 1,189 students’ responses were used for Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). Difference in NCS basic vocational competencies among college students was found depending on their gender, GPA, affiliation, and internship experience. After conducting cluster analysis to find the types of clusters and the characteristics of clusters by types, a total of four clusters were found. Then, the characteristics of the students in each cluster were examined. Based on the result of the findings, the study provides the implication for learner-centered curriculum and educational support strategies as a way to effectively improve NCS basic vocational competencies of college students.
