만 5세 유아의 디지털 리터러시 발달을 위한 전자 그림책 만들기 활동 실행연구

초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the changes observed in young children and their teacher through an action research project implementing electronic picture book-making activities designed to promote the digital literacy development of five-year-old children. The study was conducted with 20 five-year-old children at Kindergarten D from June to November 2022. In the study, the four-stage action research process problem analysis and planning for change, action, observation, and reflection with re-planning was implemented three times. Data were collected through participant observation, analysis of children’s activity products, the teacher’s reflective journal, and records of activity sharing with parents. The data were analyzed using a categorization process. The findings are as follows. Regarding changes in the children: first, they showed increased interest in digital media; second, they became more proficient in operating digital media; third, they demonstrated the ability to create content using digital media; fourth, they showed an improved ability to communicate through digital media and digital content. As for the teacher, first, her perceptions of supporting young children’s digital literacy development changed positively; second, she began to implement more concrete instructional practices for teaching digital literacy. This study is significant in that it presents an effective example of instructional activities that support digital literacy development in young children.
