한·러 영화 교류: 러시아 영화의 국내 수용 역사와 과제

초록

This thesis aims to examine how Russian movies entered the Korean movie market and took root in the domestic film market over the past 3 decades in terms of the historical processes and developments. This study is on the premise that movies which exist as a cultural ‘product’ in our lives essentially have identical traits with other industries of capitalism. Given that movies are the one and only genre which became established as an investment area encompassing the economic, policy, and cultural areas of Korea and Russia, revisiting the position, importance, and meaning of Russian movies in the Korean movie industry is very important in that it will serve as a chance to re-establish the future direction of movie exchanges between Korea and Russia. This study concludes with a discussion on various issues needed to be improved for desirable movie exchanges between the two countries in the future.
