혐오성과 도덕양심신념 및 지각의 관계

초록

Disgust is a basic human emotion that functions to protect us from harmful object(food, animal, disease etc). A number of psychologists argue that there is adequate evidence showing that disgust significantly influences various moral judgments. Moral conscience is a inner values which play a substantial role in moral judgment. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between disgust and moral conscience. 437 college students(male 112, female 325) participated in this study. The findings of this study proved positive relationship between disgust(three domains: core disgust, animal reminder disgust, contamination disgust) and perception of moral conscience. A disgust sensitivity show that conflict-conflict group was significantly the lowest of four conviction groups of moral conscience. A difference of gender show that female was significantly higher than man in disgust sensitivity. This result suggest that disgust is a causal role of affect in moral conscience. Also, disgust should be recognised as a integrate mechanism of moral emotion and moral cognition in moral and character education.
