켈리 레이카트의 <어떤 여자들> : 느린 성찰의 시간

초록

In this essay, I explore the eclectic film form of Kelly Reichardt, American film director who occupies an important position on the American indie film scene. The main reason she is referred to as a director of "slow cinema" has to do with complex arrangements of the scenes and the effect they create, with the director"s intention to find the reasons for characters" emotions and events in social conditions rather than in individual conflicts. The analysis of two episodes of Reichardt’s reveals why a sense of slowness is necessary in order to convey a sense of place not only as where particular individual experiences take place, but also as a collective history.
