중국 제조기업의 역물류 활동과 사업성과 간의 영향관계에 대한 연구 - 정보기술의 조절효과를 중심으로 -

With the improvement of the economy and the standard of living in China recently, manufacturing companies in China have become more interested in sustainable development and reverse logistics. Refund of faulty products and the amount of discarded products are on the rising trend in China’s reverse logistics system, and as the Chinese government is recognizing the importance of a sustainable economic development, Chinese companies, especially manufacturers such as automobile and electronics, are becoming interested in reverse logistics management system in relation to entering the global market. Moreover, network business activities, as a supplier in China, is facing a huge change in the structure of trade transactions due to rapid expansion of internet and development of information technology. Companies are engaged in reverse logistics activities to manage processes for collection, recycle, re-use and disposal of products, and the companies are required to break away from the traditional logistics businesses to improve the business processes for efficient execution of supply chain network. Therefore, in order to analyze the effects of development in information technology on the relationship of China’s reverse logistics activities and its effects on the business performance, we have conducted a survey of 300 manufacturing companies in China and have found the following results. The results from empirical analysis on theoretical research model and research hypothesis deducted based on the existing theories and empirical studies are as follows. First, Chinese companies’ warehouse management and logistics management have meaningful effects on collection and recycle elements of reverse logistics. Second, recycle element of reverse logistics has meaningful effects on customer satisfaction and competitiveness, which are factors in business performance. Third, information technology has a moderating effect on the relationship between warehouse management, collection and recycle and the customer satisfaction. We empirically analyzed the influential relationship between effects of reverse logistics activities of Chinese manufacturers and the business performance, and analyzing the moderating effects of information technology is the differentiating factor for this study as compared to previous researches. This study is meaningful to the academia for conducting a study on reverse logistics activities in China, and to the practical application for providing a direction for utilizing reverse logistics.
