초록

In this paper, I examine the ‘unintelligibility arguments’ against necessary connection, according to which the very unintelligibility of necessary connection is a good reason to deny its existence. I will first argue that for this arguments to have any argumentative force they must have strong forms which implies the impossibility of necessary connection. Then, I will argue that strong forms of unintelligibility arguments are in fact some kind of conceivability arguments. Finally, I will argue that those unintelligibility arguments are not successful.
