한·우즈베키스탄 음악 교류의 현황과 과제

초록

Music exchange between Korea and Uzbekistan over the past 28 years has progressed in three directions. Since the early 1990s, cultural and artistic exchange events have been held for diaspora in Korea, and Uzbek players participated in various international events to introduce the melody of traditional instruments. In addition, various music groups have introduced traditional Uzbek performance culture in Korea. Like this, although Korea and Uzbekistan have been conducting exchanges in various fields of music, the exchange of music between the two countries has not yet been activated. This study seeks to reconsider the position, weight, and meaning of Uzbekistan music in the Korean society over the past 28 years and explore the direction and point of improvement that the two countries should move towards for future exchange. Such study is important because the construction of a strong relationship between Korea and Uzbekistan starts from expanding the foundation for respecting cultural differences and co-existence between the two countries.
