Effects of Animal Flow Training on Pain and Core Stability of E-Sports Players

초록

This study investigated the effects of Animal Flow training on the pain and core stability of e-sports players who train while sitting at a computer for a long time. As the test subjects, two groups each consisting of 7 people were selected: the League of Legends team and the PlayerUnknown's BattleGround team. Animal Flow training is an exercise that mimics animal movements with the quadruped position as the main basic posture. In the experimental measurement, the pain was analyzed using a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) related to the musculoskeletal system, and core stability was measured by the amount of time held in specific postures on the left, right, front, and back. As a result of statistical analysis of the measurements, the pain index decreased in the experimental group, but that of the comparison group increased. For core stability, the experimental group showed improvement in the left, right, front and back while the comparison group showed a decrease. Therefore, as a result of this study, Animal Flow training showed a positive effect by reducing musculoskeletal-related pain and securing stability by improving core strength. Continuous conduction of Animal Flow Training is believed to aid practitioners, such as e-sports players, who use computers for a long time.
