한․중 청소년의 행복감에 관한 연구
초록
This study was to compare happiness between Korea and China, and to explore the influencing factors on happiness. Of the 2,700 adolescents in Korea and China, 2,185 completed and returned the questionnaires yielding a total response rate of 80.93%. The final sample consisted of 1,291 Korean and 894 Chinese adolescents from elementary to high school levels. Measures of happiness, extraversion, optimism, depression, self-esteem, gratitude, social support(i.e., significant others, families, and friends), coping skills(i.e., task-oriented, emotion-oriented, and avoidance-oriented), and school satisfaction were obtained. The results indicated that there were differences in happiness between Korea and China, and in school levels. Korean adolescents were less happier than Chinese adolescents. Elementary school students were happier than junior-high and high school students. And Junior-high school students were happier than high school students. The binomial logistic regression models indicated that 88.0% of adolescents in Korea and China were accurately classified as either happy or unhappy in respect to country, school level, optimism, depression, gratitude, and social support from families, task-oriented coping skills, and school satisfaction. Implications of the study were discussed in depth.
