포스트휴먼과 지능 담론(2) : 디스토피아 담론을 중심으로

초록

The goal of this paper is to examine the discourse on the competition between artificial intelligence and human intelligence, resulting in dystopia. Hidden in the discourse of this competition is anxieties about a future in which artificial intelligence dominates humans or controls human behavior. The problem is not when AI dominates us, but when it has different goals than humans. The stubborn application of the goals set by humans does not realize fairness or accuracy, but may result in further reinforcing the harms of humans. We contrast the optimism and pessimism associated with dystopia and intelligence. Optimism is ultimately based on the fact that artificial intelligence cannot be an entity that fully reproduces human intelligence. And the failure of scientists who were only preoccupied with the development of artificial intelligence with human-like intelligence draws attention to this optimism. Already, we have come across a lot of content on the subject of pessimism. Therefore, rather than discussing this topic, I looked at human anxiety, the root of pessimism. Even if a dystopian state actually arrives in human society, artificial intelligence is unlikely to be the main cause. We also noted the discussion of protopias proposed by Kevin Kelly in relation to pessimism.
