초록
This is an analysis of how the stage space and dramatic atmosphere of modern plays are connected. To this end, 129 works of Winning works of the Annual Literary Contest in the 21st century(between 2001 and 2020) were analyzed. In particular, the Annual Literary Contest has been maintained for more than 100 years. It is a representative literary system that produced renowned writers in various genres such as poetry, novels, and plays. It holds an important position in the history of modern and contemporary literature. This study also places its significance on the possibility of a full-fledged spread of the study of the Annual Literary Contest. The stage of 129 selected plays was divided into single and multi-spaces, indoor and outdoor spaces, and analyzed the dramatic atmosphere, conflict, and implications. Stage and space are indispensable elements of literature, especially in the case of plays, which are reproduced as dramas. In terms of the symbolism of the play, it is the stage that closely communicates with the theme. This is why the stage is one of the three elements of the play. Therefore, this study will be a very useful source for creators who dream of becoming playwrights and educators who train juniors to study the dramatic space of plays.
