초등학교 고학년 학생들의 열망 군집유형에 따른관계성, 자기결정성 및 주관적 안녕감

The purpose of this study was to examine the differences between relatedness, self-determination and subjective well-being, depending on the clusters separated by the types of aspirations. The subjects were 1150 elementary school students from 14 elementary schools in Seoul, Korea. In this study, students were grouped by cluster analysis according to the degrees of aspiration. As a result of hierarchical cluster analysis, students were classified into 3 clusters(i. e., high levels of aspiration, intrinsic aspirations, and low levels of aspiration group(AG)). The findings showed that first, there were significantly positive relationships among self-growth, affiliation, community contribution, physical fitness, financial success, image, and fame. Relatedness were positively correlated with self-determination and subjective well-being. Secondly, there were significant differences in relatedness, self-determination and subjective well-being between ‘High AG’, ‘Intrinsic AG’ and ‘Low AG’. Thirdly, as results of multi-group analysis, there were significant differences found in aspiration groups. For ‘High AG’ and ‘Intrinsic AG’ students, relatedness had positive direct effects on subjective well-being and self-determination. Moreover, self-determination had positive direct effects on subjective well-being. This study found that students’ intrinsic aspiration is an important factor for enhancing their relatedness, self-determination, and subjective well-being. For enhancing students’subjective well-being, it needs to improve their relatedness and self-determination. The results of this study are expected to provide implication and directionality for elementary school students’values education. Additionally, the results of this study are expected to be used as the background information of research about substantive and effective personality education program based on the aspiration.
