Corrigendum to “Prophylactic efficacy of baicalin and carvacrol against Salmonella Typhimurium biofilm on food and food contact surfaces” [Food Res. Int. 187 (2024) 114458]

The authors regret after carefully reviewing the original dataset and the published table, we acknowledge that the values presented under the “chicken meat” column for the carvacrol treatment appear duplicated with those of the baicalin treatment at corresponding concentrations. This duplication was not intentional and occurred during the final stage of table preparation, where formatting and data consolidation errors led to incorrect insertion of values. Importantly, we would like to clarify that: (1) The raw experimental data for baicalin and carvacrol treatments are distinct and were generated independently.(2) The duplication is limited to the presentation in Table 2 and does not reflect the actual experimental outcomes.(3) The statistical analyses, interpretations, and conclusions of the study were conducted using the correct datasets.We have rechecked the original data files and prepared a corrected version of Table 2. In summary: The issue is a data transcription/formatting error during manuscript preparation. There is no intentional duplication of experimental results. The corrected table accurately represents the original experimental findings.The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
