청소년의 낙관주의, 관계성, 대처양식 및 학교적응 간의 관계: 학교급별 비교

초록

This study was to examine the school level differences(i.e., upper elementary and middle schools) of optimism, relatedness(i.e., teachers and peers), coping styles(i.e., approach coping and avoidance coping), and school adjustment, and also the school level differences of the relationships between these variables. The final samples consisted of 444 upper elementary school students and 497 middle school students in the grades from 5 to 8. The results are as follows. Upper elementary school students showed higher optimism, relatedness, approach coping, and school adjustment, and lower avoidance coping than middle school students. The path coefficients for optimism and relatedness of peers, and for relatedness of peers and approach coping links showed significant school level differences. These results are expected to provide various educational implications to promote transitional students’ school adjustment.
