네팔의 다차원적 빈곤

초록

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the realities and influential factors of the multidimensional poverty in Nepal. This analysis uses the Nepal living standard survey, Alkire-Foser methods, and the index that composes four dimensions such as education, housing, health, and living condition for measuring the multidimensional poverty. As a result of analysis, more than half of households experienced the multidimensional poverty and the poverty in housing dimension was appeared the most serious. Important factors that affect the multidimensional poverty are geographic factors, for example, region(urban and rural), topography(mountains, hills, plains), and province(Eastern, Central, West, Midwest, and Extreme West). Demographic factors such as gender, marital status, number of family members, the Caste also has had a significant impact. It is suggested to have more active support of vulnerable areas, and more integrated and comprehensive improvement of the various dimensions of life for the multidimensional poverty reduction in Nepal.
