초록
Museums play a crucial role as public institutions in society, performing the important mission of enhancing the quality of citizens' lives and providing public cultural services. In recent years, along with economic development, the museum cultural industry has been undergoing a vibrant growth phase. It is emphasized that forming museum products is a crucial means to activate the museum brand market. However, due to the late start of the development of the cultural product industry in the Forbidden City, there are many problems with the visual image of the packaging of cultural products. This study focused on the top 5 official cultural products in terms of sales ranking at the Beijing Palace Museum, comprehensively analyzing three visual elements – color combinations, shape design, and pattern expressions – based on the theory of emotional design. To ensure the accuracy of the research, a validation study was conducted through a survey. According to the research findings, it was concluded that cultural product package designs created by analyzing consumers' psychological demands through emotional design can better evoke emotional resonance with consumers. From a visual elements perspective, it should be considered to promote diverse museum cultural product package series by incorporating appropriate colors, unique museum design symbols, and various fonts. This is expected to attract the interest of those who appreciate art, design, and traditional culture, enhancing the influence of museum culture and its cultural competitiveness. It would further contribute to the development of the museum cultural brand industry.
