공급업체 중단에 대비한 최적의 공급업체의 수 및 주문량 결정

초록

Recently, the supplier disruption and its effects onto the supply chain management have been gaining growing importance due to increasing natural and socio-political events. In this study, we develop a multi-sourcing type ordering policy utilizing multiple suppliers to mitigate the supplier uncertainty. We considered a simple two-echelon supply chain consisting of one buyer and one or multiple suppliers, where the buyer is facing probabilistic demand and fixed transaction costs are incurred with the suppliers. Under this setting, we analyze the trade-off between the supplier transaction cost and the inventory costs due to increasing the order quantity, and provide the joint optimization method to determine the order quantity and the number of suppliers. By executing various numerical examples we provide practical managerial implications on the sourcing strategy under supplier uncertainty.
