초록

The purpose of this study was to examine cognitive and emotional components of deception in four types of lies over two dimensions orthogonally. By creating new types of lies, we could observe more natural neural correlates of deception. The alpha-band, the quantification of event-related desynchronization (%ERD), and skin conductance response (SCR) allowed discrimination between deception and the truth. However, when deception was divided, different patterns of %ERD and SCR were observed. There were substantial differences in %ERD produced by instructed memorized lies (IM lies), instructed created lies (IC lies), spontaneously memorized lies (SM lies), and the truth, but not between spontaneously created lies (SC lies) and SC truth, yet SCR showed a strong difference between created lies and the truth. The results implied that the strengths and weaknesses of each of these two measures could be complemented when used together to detect different types of deception.
