트왈 드 주이 표현기법을 활용한 서피스 디자인 개발 연구 -민화 소재를 중심으로-

초록

This study explores the application of the eighteenth-century French Toile de Jouy expression technique to contemporary surface design using Korean folk painting motifs. Focusing on similarities between scene-based repetition and symbolic imagery, motifs were simplified into line drawings and arranged into repeat compositions. The findings demonstrate that integrating narrative structures with traditional motifs offers new possibilities for contemporary surface design grounded in cultural expression.
