백석 시에 나타난 ‘소리’의 의미와 시적 기능
초록
This paper analyzes what aspect the tradition of 'sori' shows when being revealed in modern poetry and how it is making poetic meaning based on the works by Baek-seok. The semantic domain indicated by 'sori' in Korea's culture is very wide. Being a person's voice or story and also song by extension, 'sori' is associated with all sound phenomena. Baek-seok vividly represents the traditional world through rich 'sori' that encompasses the verbal and non-verbal world and the prosodic and non-prosodic world. 'Sori' is originally connected with the phenomenon of life. In the Baek-seok's poetic world, a variety of onomatopoeia appears, and this plays a key role in creating the vitality of a happy community. In addition, one thing to note is that 'sori' plays a role of overcoming the limitations of the sense of sight. 'Sori' is the powerful expression of the will that wanted to recover the space of life. 'Sori' plays a role of forming the world more actively as well as being the media that imitates the world. In this world, human beings and things, past and present, silence and noise, inside and outside simultaneously exist. The thing that enables communication at this time is 'sori'. It liaises between time and space, and induces the 'sori' inside silence. 'Sori' personifies the world and becomes the passage that realizes the polyphonic world.
