초록

The early Japanese animation before the enactment of the `39 Japanese Film Act tended to be used as a tool for enlightening the natives in the colonies as well as Japanese, through various forms of film screening including the itinerant film exhibition practices and screening films in the school. Especially in Japan, that had a strong educational function to make modern men who are ethical, moral and physically healthy. And,that enhanced solidarity among Japanese people and made them feel superior to the West by dealing with the Japanese traditional theme including folk stories. After the enactment of the Japanese Film Act which is used by policy for arousing war sentiment, through the animation, Japan promoted national policies and rationalized Japanese colonial rule also.
