SICAF, 러시아 애니메이션의 현황과 흐름

초록

This paper is designed to find out the change and trend of modern Russian animation industry through the analysis of the animation works exhibited by representative Russian directors at the Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival (SICAF). Since 3 Russians first participated in the 7th SICAF in 2001, 60 Russian animators have been introduced at the film festival for the last 18 years with 75 animation works of theirs. The review and analysis of the SICAF result report, program books, and press reports for the last 24 years showed that the Russian commercial animation industry enjoyed its heyday with a lot of works exhibited at the SICAF in the 2010s though it was overshadowed by independent animations before. This kind of aspect shown through the SICAF indicates that the Russian animation industry has changed its courses for the last 20 years and has tried to reflect the public demand on their works according to the flow and change of the period for the last 20 years.
