스피노자 철학에서 국가에 대한 정서론적 설명과 그 한계

초록

This paper first discusses Spinoza’s theory of the state from the perspective of the relationalist understanding. From this understanding, which differs from the Hobbesian explanation construed on the model of atomistic individualism, as Matheron points out, Spinoza’s theory of the state is explained based on theplayoff affects. While recognizing the strong points of this explanation, I again see that this comes to face with some difficulties, thereby it cannot be entirely away from the Hobbesian frame. In this respect, this paper shows that the relationalist understanding is an interpretation which cannot be completed in itself regarding the state.
