대형화재에 따른 국민 소방안전의식 변화에 대한 고찰

초록

This study investigated changes in the consciousness of fire safety before and after the large-scale fire, and attempted to draw policy implications to reduce the damage to the people and property in the event of a large- scale fire accident, and implications for preventing serious accidents caused by fire in the workplace in corpo- rate management. To this end, the implications were derived from the comparison of the National Fire Safety Consciousness Survey conducted by the Korea Fire Safety Institute in 2014, before many large-scale fires, and in 2019, after many large-scale fires. In order to compare the national fire safety consciousness, the results of the fire safety consciousness survey consisting of five indicators including fire prevention field, fire alarm field, evacu- ation field, fire extinguishing field, and prevention of damage expansion field were compared and analyzed. The 2019 survey showed that fire prevention indicators fell more than the 2014 survey, but indicators in fire alarm, evacuation, fire extinguishing and damage prevention improved. As a result, the public fire safety consciousness investigated after the large-scale fire was improved compared to the period when large-scale fire accidents were relatively frequent. It is necessary to establish the government’s fire promotion policy and concentrate on fire prevention in corporate workplace.
