This study applies keyword network analysis to examine Korean public diplomacy research published in KCI journal from 2016-following the enactment of the Public Diplomacy Act-through 2024. Using a three-domain framework (cultural, policy, and knowledge diplomacy), the analysis integrates 1-mode(keyword-keyword) and 2-mode (document-keyword) networks with UCINET 6.0, and visualizes results with NetDraw. The findings highlight three patterns. First, centrality measures show that “culture” and “government” dominate across the corpus, followed by “image,” “exchange,” “economy,” and “strategy.” Second, 2-mode clustering produces three domain-based clusters, but extensive overlap reveals fluid boundaries between them. Third, domain-specific analyses indicate that “culture” and “government” anchor both cultural and policy diplomacy. While “economy” is closely linked to policy terms, its brokerage role is limited. In the knowledge domain-despite fewer publications-“knowledge” and “culture” maintain high centrality, while “government” is relatively marginal, suggesting that knowledge diplomacy is largely framed through cultural diplomacy. The reseults demonstrate a strong culture-centric orientation in Korean public diplomacy scholarship over the past decade. They suggest the need to move beyond calls for balanced domain development toward outcome-oriented strategies with performance logics and impact pathways.
