초록
The “Miro Danoje(Miro Dano Festival)” has been operated by local residents in Miro-myeon every year since at least the Japanese colonial era. The reason for paying attention to the Miro Danoje system is not just the aspect of “sustainability of operation” that the Danojeis regularly implemented. Along with the fact that “Miro Danoje” is maintained in a unique form that combines “a traditional Korean folk belief, Gut, the blessings of individual well-being, and the wishes of the village community,” the origin of “Miro Danoje” reflects the tradition of Ogeum Jamje in Samcheok, and furthermore, thetraditional Dano Dongjein the East Coast region. Recognizing the importance of “Miro Danoje”, related institutions and individual researchers in Samcheok have conducted various investigations and studies related to it. As a result, the origin of the “Miro Danoje”, the process of the ritual, and the study of the main shaman in charge of the ritual were discussed. The ultimate goal of theseefforts is to continueto maintain the “Miro Danoje” in the future and furtherestablish it as a representativeintangible cultural property in Korea. However, these goals have not yet been achieved. The most serious problem in the current situation is the fact that the number of professional shaman or local people who can host the “Miro Danoje” is now decreasing exponentially. Therefore, for the future of the “Miro Danoje,” various measures should be prepared from now on. In this article, with this awareness of the problem, the transmission status of the “Miro Danoje” and the value as a cultural property were examined, and major measures related to this were presented.
