88서울올림픽의 준비과정에 관한 연구: 교통대책을 중심으로

초록

This study aims at identifying the establishment process of transportation communication measures and overhauling transportation systems by researching transportation measures taken during the process of preparing for the 88 Seoul Olympics. In October 1979, Sang-Chun Jun, mayor of Seoul City, announced the plan for inviting the 24th Olympics to Seoul with the main agenda related to transportation measures. As the first project, the construction of subway lines 2, 3 and 4 began. In addition, the Ministry of Transportation overhauled the transportation systems by establishing a 5-year plan for improving metropolitan area transportation focusing on connecting the subways and public transportation system in 1984. Afterward, in May 1988, the 36th Government Support Practice Committee prepared 6 types of transportation communication measures. The transportation communication measures progressed based on proactive promotional activities via work distribution among related agencies under the guidance of deriving voluntary participation of citizens.
