This article reviews some important decisions of the Supreme Court in 2016 with regard to the Civil Procedure. In Particular, the following cases are provided in English. - Supreme Court Decision 2015Da255265 Decided August 30, 2016 : Whether the courts of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) have jurisdiction over civil disputes between and among Local Enterprises of the Kaesong Industrial Zone (affirmative), - Supreme Court Decision 2013Da31137 Decided April 12, 2016 : In cases where the victim’s negligence is found based on the facts in front of the court, whether the court shall ex officio examine and decide on the same, even without the obligor’s relevant pleadings (affirmative), - Supreme Court Decision 2013Da81514 Decided March 24, 2016 : Whether a fact subjected to legal judgment or evaluation and application of a law, or having legal effect can be deemed a confession (negative).
