러시아어 부분생격에 관한 재고찰: 자질 분석적 접근
초록
Russian partitive genitive, so-called second genitive, is markedly used to express ‘some/part of X’. This partitive is different from genitive case in that the former has inherent features of [-definite] and [+quantificational]. The partitive endings -у or -ю are attached to uncountable masculine nouns, which indicate mass nouns or material nouns. In Russian, regular genitive forms of feminine or neuter nouns and plural nouns can represent partitivity, since they do not have marked partitive forms. This explains that partitive genitive belongs as a subgroup to regular genitive as a subgroup. The realization of partitive in Russian is closely related to both verbal aspect and NP. VP-related features are [+/?resultative], [+/?bounded], and [+/?partitive]. Perfective aspect has [+resultative], [+bounded], while imperfective has vice versa. Partitive genitive is inherently indefinite and quantificational. Therefore it must be used with perfective verb, but not with imperfective verb. This VP- and NP-related feature-based approach to Russian partitive genitive can analyze the core of Russian partitivity expressed by partitive genitive or regular genitive. Furthermore, alternation among accusative-genitive-partitive genitive in the direct object position will be clearly clarified in this feature-based study.
