초록

Japanese ports, which were once represented the Asia ports, have rapidly declined in recent years owing to fail to compete against Korea and Chinese international ports. Furthermore, it was a great earthquake that took place in March 2011 to provide a opportunity to change Japanese port policy as a environmental port policy. Among others, Japanese government has brought up the international container strategy port, KEIHIN port in order to foster their competitiveness. It is imperative to boost both productivity and environmental policies that the ports have sufficient competitive in Asia. This is because a scheme for earthquakes is becoming first priority in view of its circumstances not free from earthquakes. In this respect, this paper examines the relationships between port competitiveness and plan for earthquakes focused on KEIHIN port.
