초록

Single-cell genomics has become a powerful tool in veterinary science, addressing fundamental questions in livestock biology, pathophysiology, and the development of new therapies. This discipline has revolutionized our understanding of cellular heterogeneity and function in various biological systems. This chapter aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the methods and applications of single-cell genomics in veterinary science. Here, we discuss the challenges associated with single-cell sequencing and the vetinformatics tools available for single-cell data analysis. Additionally, this chapter summarizes the current applications of single-cell genomics in veterinary science and explores potential future directions and their impact on animal health and welfare to promote sustainable livestock productivity. © The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
