모더니즘 이후의 정체성, 연속성 그리고 패러독스: 단토의 예술론과 미술해석학
초록
This treatise studies developments of narrative in Danto’s End of Art thesis. According to Danto, the history of art is process of seeking self-essence, which can be made by concept, ‘narrative’. This concept means ‘principles of describe’ that make possible understood unified way in various existing styles. Narrative is as a principle of narration for ‘self-justification’, and regulate practices of artist. According to Danto, narratives of Vasari and Greenberg in western Art of history was ended arrived in contemporary art in 1960. This is ‘end of art’, Danto said. In other words, declaration of end is declaration for freedom. We confirmed this thesis, end of art in Andy Warhol’s Brillo box. The work of Warhol destroyed boundary that regulate what art is. This article searches identity of art that reveal narrative established in history of art, and which implied paradoxical circumstances. This treatise studies progress that narrative for identity had felled in paradoxical situation and new narrative was designed, but it is fall in paradoxical situation again, finally it reaches the end.
