초록

The success of the implementation of NCS in the educational practices depend on whether NCS can be effectively reflected in the curriculum of Vocational schools. Effective implementation of NCS in the curriculum demands vocational teachers to play a critical role in subsequent practices. Thus, the purpose of this study to establish the newly required competence factors of vocational teachers as NCS based high school vocational training curriculum is introduced. Literature reviews on competency requirement for vocational teachers was performed, followed by interviews with a panel of experts who have related experiences and expertise, and Delphi validations of the resulting sets of competencies. Five sets of competency groups and twelve sub-competencies with fifty-five behavioral indicators were finally derived. First group was vocational training and education competency. Second group was understanding NCS. Third competency group was linking competency between industry and school. Fourth, guiding competency both for students' career and life, and fifth, administrative competency were finally formulated. The result of this study can be used as a guideline for vocational teachers under NCS based high school vocational education curriculum in order for them to understand the goal and background of its introduction, and to conduct more effective and efficient vocational education and training.
