소비자단체의 식품안전 소비자교육에 대한 실무자 평가와 요구

초록

As the consumer's suspicion of the food safety grows, so does the necessity to educate the consumers accordingly. Although consumer organizations are educating consumers on food safety issues correspondingly, their educations in fact do not clearly grasp the current circumstances or problems. Thus, this research was designed to understand the current state of consumer education and the areas for improvement in food safety by conducting in-depth interviews with the staffs responsible for the consumer organizations' educations. To conduct this research, we collected data from the personal and group interviews with the representative staffs from the consumer organizations in Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju and Jeju. Based on the analysis of the discussed texts, we drew implications for improving future consumer education on food safety. This research is significant in that these implications were founded based on the specific needs of the consumer organizations on site.
